About the Journal

Aim and Scope

The Annals of Tropical Research (Ann. Trop. Res. | ATR) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal established in 1979 by Visayas State University. The journal follows an open-access model; it is indexed in DOAJ and a signatory of BOAI. It is included in the journal list of Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) by the Australian Research Council (Journal ID: 5237) and recognized by the Philippine Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

ATR aims to disseminate scientific findings from research and development initiatives in tropical upland, lowland, and marine ecosystems, including their communities. The journal is currently fully funded by the Visayas State University (VSU) and, therefore, does not impose any charges for article processing or publishing fees.
